Treasure Legends Database

Explore documented treasure cases, lost caches, and historically significant search targets across the United States and beyond.

Each case is organized for research, with context, evidence, and geography that can be used alongside PinPoint Treasure's AI analysis tools.

The database currently holds 28 published case files. Every factual claim inside a case carries one of seven evidence grades — CONFIRMED, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, DERIVED, HYPOTHESIS, SPECULATION, or UNKNOWN — and coordinate precision is clamped to the grade, so a claim graded below PRIMARY is published as a constraint area rather than a pin.

Cases are traced to their earliest published source before they are graded. Sources that restate one another count as one source: three books repeating an 1895 newspaper item is one source, not three. Where that trace collapses a story to a single author with no independent corroboration, the case is closed as LEGEND and stays published with the reasoning attached.

Case status breakdown: 15 unrecovered, 9 disputed or closed after source review, 4 partially recovered. Negative findings are not removed from the database — they are the most useful records in it.

Fields published per case: name, US state or region, era, estimated value as stated by its source, status, evidence bullets with grades, search-area constraint where one is supportable, research approach, and land and legal context. Land status is reported as research context only; it is never presented as permission to dig.
