Reynolds Gang Confederate Cache (1864, status: unrecovered): The Reynolds Gang was a Confederate raiding party that robbed Colorado gold camps in 1864. They buried their take in the Hand Cart Gulch area before being captured. Most of the gang was executed without trial; the cache was never recovered. Where: Hand Cart Gulch / Geneva Creek area, Park County, Colorado. Land rules: Mostly Pike NF — recreational detecting permitted outside ARPA sites.
